Javier Martínez is an American attorney, activist, and politician serving as a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives from the 11th district, which includes Bernalillo County, New Mexico. Early life and education Martínez was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The son of immigrants, Martínez became the first in his family to attend college. He earned a bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor in international and comparative law from the University of New Mexico. Career After graduating from law school, Martínez worked as a community organizer in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Martínez works as a policy director and general counsel at the Partnership for Community Action in South Valley, New Mexico, and previously worked as a public health advocate at the University of Michigan. KRQE
KRQE (channel 13) is a television station in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States, affiliated with CBS and Fox. Owned by Nexstar Media Group, it is sister to Santa Fe–licensed ''de facto'' CW owned-and-operated station KWBQ (channel 19) and MyNetworkTV affiliate KASY-TV (channel 50) (both owned by Mission Broadcasting with certain services provided by Nexstar through a shared services agreement SA. The stations share studios on Broadcast Plaza in Albuquerque, while KRQE's transmitter is located on Sandia Crest, east of Albuquerque. Solomon Pena (born April 1983) is an American politician who was the Republican nominee for the 14th district of the New Mexico House of Representatives in 2022. Pena attracted national attention when he was arrested on January 16, 2023, for allegedly hiring men to shoot at various Democratic politicians in response to his loss in the November election. Early life Pena was born in April 1983 in California. He was raised in New Mexico, graduating from Highland High School in Albuquerque in 2001. According to his campaign site, he served in the 3rd Marine Division as a U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman in Okinawa, Japan, however, this has not been verified. In 2008, Pena was sentenced to seven years of prison for stealing large amounts of electronics and other goods from at least four Albuquerque retail stores, including a Kmart, as part of a wider smash and grab scheme.
