Javier Jiménez Pérez is a Puerto Rican politician and the current mayor of San Sebastián, Puerto Rico. Jiménez was affiliated with the New Progressive Party (PNP) until 2023 and has served as mayor since 2005. Education Has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. Hurricane Maria Hurricane Maria, on September 20, 2017, triggered numerous landslides in San Sebastián with the significant amount of rain that fell. The hurricane winds knocked the power out and the entire municipality was left in the dark, as was the rest or Puerto Rico. San Sebastián, Puerto Rico
San Sebastián (, ) is a town and municipality of Puerto Rico located in the northwestern region of the island, south of Isabela, Quebradillas and Camuy; north of Las Marías; east of Moca and Añasco; and west of Lares. San Sebastián is spread over twenty-four barrios and San Sebastián Pueblo (the downtown area and the administrative center of the city). Proyecto Dignidad (, PD) is a Puerto Rican political party founded in 2019. In the 2020 general election it ran on a Christian democracy and anti-corruption platform. History Project Dignity was first announced on March 24, 2019. On January 22, 2020, the party was officially certified as the 5th political party running in the 2020 general election.
