Javier Camarena
Javier Camarena (born March 26, 1976) is a Mexican operatic tenor. Camarena was born in Xalapa, Veracruz. His father was a nuclear plant technician. He specializes in roles from the bel canto era of Rossini, Bellini and Donizetti operas such as Edgardo in ''Lucia di Lammermoor'', Arturo in ''I puritani'' and Conte Almaviva in ''Il barbiere di Siviglia''. He has also sung leading tenor roles in Mozart and Verdi operas. Camarena has performed at many of the world's leading opera houses and festivals including the Zurich Opera, where he was a company member for a number of years, the Royal Opera London, the Salzburg Festival, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Palacio de Bellas Artes Mexico City, Paris Opéra, the Bayerische Staatsoper Munich, the Liceu Barcelona and the Staatsoper Wien. The Salzburg Festival (german: Salzburger Festspiele) is a prominent festival of music and drama established in 1920. It is held each summer (for five weeks starting in late July) in the Austrian town of Salzburg, the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. One highlight is the annual performance of the play '' Jedermann'' (''Everyman'') by Hugo von Hofmannsthal. WQXR-FM (105.9 FM) is an American non-commercial classical radio station, licensed to Newark, New Jersey and serving the North Jersey and New York City area. The Metropolitan Opera (commonly known as the Met) is an American opera company based in New York City, resident at the Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center, currently situated on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Ivan Lopez-Reynoso (born 19 April 1990 in Guanajuato, Mexico) is an opera and symphonic conductor, pianist, violinist and countertenor. Early life Lopez-Reynoso was born in Guanajuato, Mexico, to mechanical engineer Gustavo Lopez and computer engineer Guadalupe Reynoso. He studied violin, piano, choir conducting and he graduated summa cum laude in orchestra conducting. The Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid (unofficial English name, Madrid Symphony Orchestra), founded in 1903, is the oldest existing Spanish symphony orchestra in Spain not owned by an opera house or theater. The Gran Teatre del Liceu (, English: Great Theatre of the Lyceum), known as ''El Liceu'', is an opera house in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
