Javier "Javi" Pérez Mateo (born 14 August 1995) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a central midfielder for SD Huesca. Club career Born in Cabanillas del Campo, Guadalajara, Castile-La Mancha, Pérez was a CD Guadalajara youth graduate. After making his senior debut with the reserves, he made his first team debut on 8 December 2013, coming on as a late substitute for Álvaro Zazo in a 4–0 Segunda División B home routing of CP Cacereño. On 11 July 2014, Pérez extended his contract until 2017. He was an ever-present figure during the season, as his side missed out promotion in the play-offs. On 15 July 2015, Pérez signed a three-year contract with UD Almería, being initially assigned to the B-team also in the third level. 2020–21 Segunda División B
The 2020–21 Segunda División B season was the 44th since its establishment and the last as the third tier. A total of 102 teams participated, and were distributed in three groups of 20 teams each and two groups of 21, with eight subgroups of ten teams each and two with eleven teams each. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the expansion of the league to what were initially five groups of 20 teams each for the 2020–21 season due to promotion from the Tercera División groups in the curtailed past season being applied. The season began on 18 October, following approval by each of Spain's autonomous regions' health departments. The 2017–18 Segunda División play-offs were played from June 6 to June 17, 2018 and determined the third team which would be promoted to the top division. Teams placed between 3rd and 6th position excluding reserve teams took part in the promotion play-offs. Valladolid achieved promotion. Regulations The regulations were the same as the previous season: in the semi-finals, the fifth-placed team faced the fourth-placed team, while the sixth-placed team faced the third. Each tie was played over two legs, with the team lower in the table hosting the first leg. The team that scored more goals on aggregate over the two legs advanced to the next round.
