Urmia
Urmia or Orumiyeh ( fa, ارومیه, Variously transliterated as ''Oroumieh'', ''Oroumiyeh'', ''Orūmīyeh'' and ''Urūmiyeh''.) is the largest city in West Azerbaijan Province of Iran and the capital of Urmia County. Paykan Tehran Volleyball Club ( fa, باشگاه والیبال پیکان تـهران, ''Bâshgâh-e Vâlibâl-e Peykân-e Tehrân'') is an Iranian professional volleyball team based in Tehran, Iran. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. The Asian Men's Volleyball Championship is an international volleyball competition in Asia and Oceania contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continent governing body. The initial gap between championships was four years, but since 1987 they have been awarded every two years. The current champion is Iran, which won its fourth title at the 2021 tournament. AVC Cup For Men
The Asian Men's Volleyball Cup, also known as the AVC Cup for Men, is an international volleyball competition in Asia and Oceania contested by the top senior men's national teams of the members of Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continent governing body. The tournaments have been awarded every two years since 2008. The current champion is China, which won its second title at the 2022 tournament. The 7 Asian Volleyball Cup tournaments have been won by four different national teams. Iran have won three times. The other Asian Cup winners are China, with two titles; and both South Korea and Qatar, with one title each. Iranian Volleyball Super League
The Iranian Volleyball Super League (IVSL) is a professional volleyball league in Iran at the top of the Iranian volleyball league system. It was founded in 1975 as the Pasargad Cup, but after the Iranian Revolution it was renamed to the first Division. In 1997 the league system was revamped and the Iranian Super League was established. Paykan Tehran has won the most titles in the new Super League with 12 titles. History The first season of a national Iranian volleyball league was held in 1975 with 12 teams competing. In 1976 Esteghlal became the champions for the first time, and they repeated this feat in the following season. In 1979 due to the Iranian Revolution the league was canceled.
