Career Rakkar's parents were born in Punjab, India, and immigrated to Canada before Jasvir was born. Rakkar graduated from Bramalea Secondary School in Brampton, Ontario, and enrolled at Stony Brook University to play college baseball for the Stony Brook Seawolves.
