Jaspar Yu Woon
Jaspar Yu Woon Chai (born November 14, 1988) is a Bruneian badminton player. He achieved a career high ranking of 199 in the men's singles discipline. It was announced in May 2016 that he was awarded the tripartite commission to compete in the men's singles event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Yu was the first badminton athlete from Brunei to compete at the Olympics. Career Jaspar has made a few Superseries appearances at the international stage. Hu Yun (; born 31 August 1981) is a retired badminton player representing Hong Kong since 2006. He competed at the 2010 and 2014 Asian Games, and also 2016 Rio Olympics. Born in Wuhan, Hubei, China, Hu started playing badminton in 1988, and participated in local province badminton teams at an early age. In 2006, he started to represent Hong Kong at international tournaments. He won the Hong Kong National Badminton Championships four times, in 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2012. Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "doubles" (with two players per side). Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side's half of the court.
