Jason Rogers (publisher)
Jason Rogers (August 5, 1868 – April 26, 1932) was an early 20th-century newspaper publisher best known for his success as a publisher of '' The New York Globe''. Background Rogers was born in Morrisania, now part of the Bronx on August 5, 1868. A grandson of William Cauldwell, publisher of the New York ''Sunday Mercury'', Rogers was allowed to start working for that paper when he was 12. By 1893–94, Rogers became the paper's publisher while attempting to become a daily publication, a venture which failed in 1896. Rogers then bounced around to a number of papers including the ''Providence News'', Chicago Inter Ocean, ''Chicago Journal'', and '' New York Sun''. In 1904, he became a manager of the '' Commercial Advertiser'', a low-circulation paper (around 12,000) which traced its founding back to 1793 by Noah Webster. Jason Rogers (fencer)
Jason Rogers (born April 14, 1983) is an American saber fencer. Fencing career Rogers was born in Houston, Texas. At the urging of his parents, he began to learn fencing at the Westside Fencing Center under the tutelage of his coach, Daniel Costin. He currently fences for the Los Angeles International Fencing Center. Rogers graduated from Brentwood School (Los Angeles, California) in Los Angeles, California in 2001. He signed with Ohio State University, where he was the NCAA sabre bronze medalist in 2002 and 2003. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology ın 2006. He competed in Athens and fenced in the Beijing Olympics for both the team and individual tournaments in Sabre. In the 2008 Beijing Olympics, he helped the USA sabre team win the quarterfinals against Hungary and semifinals against Russia. Jason Aliston Rogers (born 31 August 1991 in Sandy Point) is a Saint Kitts and Nevis sprinter who specialises in the 100 metres. Rogers helped win a bronze medal as a part of the 4 × 100 m relay at the 2008 Central American and Caribbean Championships in Cali, Colombia. He also finished sixth in the 100 metres final of the 2010 World Junior Championships in Moncton, Canada. He has competed in three Olympic Games for his country (2012, 2016 and 2020). At the 2020 Olympics, he was the flagbearer for Saint Kitts and Nevis. Jason Douglas Rogers (born March 13, 1988) is an American professional baseball first baseman for the Lincoln Saltdogs of the American Association of Professional Baseball. He previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Pirates. Career Milwaukee Brewers Rogers was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 32nd round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft out of Columbus State University. In 2013, he was the Brewers' Minor League Player of the Year after hitting .270/.346/.468 with 22 home runs. He was added to the 40-man roster on November 20, 2013. Primarily a first baseman, Rogers added third base as a secondary position prior to the 2014 season. Rogers made his major league debut on September 2, 2014.
