Jason Robinson (cricketer)
Jason Mark Robinson (born 24 March 1965) is a former English cricketer. Robinson was a right-handed batsman who played primarily as a wicketkeeper. He was born at Lichfield, Staffordshire. Robinson represented England Under 15's and England U19's as well as MCC Schools. He was contracted to Warwickshire County Cricket Club in 1983. Robinson made his debut in County Cricket for Herefordshire in the Minor Counties Championship in 1992 against Devon. During the 1992 season, he played 2 further Championship matches for the county against Cornwall and Cheshire. Also in 1992, he represented the county in a single MCCA Knockout Trophy match against Staffordshire. In 1999, he represented the Worcestershire Cricket Board in a single List A match against the Kent Cricket Board in the 1999 NatWest Trophy. Jason Robinson (born September 20, 1975) is an American jazz saxophonist and academic. Early life and education Born in Northern California, Robinson was raised in the Sierra Nevada region. He attended the University of Southern California for one year before earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in jazz studies and philosophy from Sonoma State University. Robinson later earned a Master of Arts and PhD in music from the University of California, San Diego. Career Robinson was mentored by the bassist Mel Graves, who also recorded on ''From the Sun'', Robinson's first album as a leader. He was a member of the groups Cannonball and Groundation, and founded Circumvention Music. In San Diego, he worked extensively with a trio that featured bassist Rob Thorsen and drummer Brett Sanders. Robinson has developed long-term collaborative groups, including Cosmologic and Trummerflora. In 2002, Robinson's album ''Tandem'', a series of duos, was released. Jason Thorpe Robinson OBE (born 30 July 1974) is an English former dual-code international rugby league and rugby union footballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. Playing as a wing or fullback, he won 51 rugby union international caps for England and is the first black man to captain the England team. In rugby league he won 12 caps for Great Britain and seven for England. Throughout his career Robinson was noted for his speed and acceleration, side-step and ability to beat defenders.
