Jason Pinkston
Jason R. Pinkston (born September 5, 1987) is a former American football offensive guard, who played his entire career for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He is also the cousin of Todd Pinkston, a former NFL wide receiver. Collegiate career During his junior year at the University of Pittsburgh season in 2009, Pinkston was named first-team All-Big East and a second-team All-American by SI.com and Rivals.com. During his senior season in 2010, he was named to the Lombardi Award and Outland Trophy watch lists. As a 2011 NFL draft prospect, Pinkston was considered one of the best offensive linemen in the 2010 senior class. Eric Steinbach
Eric Steinbach (born April 4, 1980) is a former American football guard who played for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Iowa, and earned consensus All-American honors. He was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played for the Bengals from 2003 to 2006 and the Cleveland Browns from 2007 to 2011. Early years Steinbach was born in Joliet, Illinois. He attended Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox, and played for the Providence Catholic Celtics high school football team. He helped his team to a 50-game winning streak and four consecutive state championships. As a senior, he had 46 tackles, 55 assists, and a school record 26 quarterback sacks on his way to being named conference most valuable player and first-team all-state. Outland Trophy
The Outland Trophy is awarded to the best college football interior lineman in the United States as adjudged by the Football Writers Association of America. It is named after John H. Outland. One of only a few players ever to be named an All-American at two positions, Outland garnered consensus All-America honors in 1898 as a tackle and consensus honors as a halfback in 1899. Outland had always contended that football tackles and guards deserved greater recognition and conceived the Outland Trophy as a means of providing this recognition. 2010 Pittsburgh Panthers Football Team
The 2010 Pittsburgh Panthers football team represented the University of Pittsburgh in the 2010 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Panthers were members of the Big East Conference. They were led by the sixth-year head coach Dave Wannstedt and played their home games at Heinz Field. 2010 marked the university's 121st season overall. They finished the season 8–5, 5–2 in Big East play to be champions of the Big East with Connecticut and West Virginia. However, due to losses to both schools, Pitt did not earn the conference's bid to a Bowl Championship Series (BCS) game.
