Hyperacusis
Hyperacusis is the increased sensitivity to sound and a low tolerance for environmental noise. Definitions of hyperacusis can vary significantly; it can refer to normal noises being perceived as: loud, annoying, painful, fear-inducing, or a combination of those, and is often categorized into four subtypes: loudness, pain, annoyance, and fear. It can be a highly debilitating hearing disorder. Hyperacusis is often coincident with tinnitus. The latter is more common and there are important differences between their involved mechanisms. Little is known about the prevalence of hyperacusis, in part due to the degree of variation in the term's definition. Reported prevalence in children and adolescents ranges from 3% to 17%. Signs and symptoms In hyperacusis, the symptoms are ear pain, annoyance, distortions, and general intolerance to many sounds that most people are unaffected by. Crying spells or panic attacks may result from the experience of hyperacusis. It may affect only one or ...

Thirteen of ''Blue Hearts 14 tracks are less than three minutes in length. Produced by Mould, it was recorded at Electrical Audio, in Chicago. These tuneful guitar blitzkriegs have plenty of room for playfulness alongside the bile." Patch The Sky
''Patch the Sky'' is the 12th solo album from former Hüsker Dü and Sugar frontman Bob Mould. Background ''Patch the Sky'' is described by Mould as the third album in a trilogy, the other two albums being 2012's '' Silver Age'' and 2014's '' Beauty & Ruin''. This trilogy of albums began with Mould's signing to Merge Records and recruiting bassist Jason Narducy and drummer Jon Wurster into his recording and touring band. Bob Mould initially considered making a primarily-acoustic album, much like his 1989 solo debut Workbook. The song "Hold On" dates back to this time, having been written as a "downtempo acoustic song" in 2013. After the release of ''Beauty & Ruin'', Mould's mother died. This, combined with other circumstances in Mould's life like "relationships ending", led to the darker tone of the album. Recording Recording for the album occurred at Steve Albini's Chicago studio Electrical Audio, with Bob Mould serving as producer and Beau Sorenson serving as engineer. T ...
