Jason Laycock
Jason Laycock (born 4 November 1984) is an Australian rules football player. He played for the Essendon Football Club as a ruckman in the Australian Football League (AFL) from 2004 to 2010. He was drafted by Essendon from East Devonport Football Club with the tenth overall selection in the 2002 National AFL Draft. Laycock was nominated for the NAB AFL Rising Star Medal in round five, 2005 before straining a calf muscle missed the last seven games of that season. In 2006, he suffered knee and foot injuries, which restricted him to six games. Laycock played 19 games in 2007 and a further 16 games in 2008. In 2009, he suffered another foot injury and missed the entire season. He was delisted by Essendon in 2010. Laycock was recruited by the Burnie Dockers Football Club in the Tasmanian Football League in 2011. East Devonport Football Club
The East Devonport Football Club is an Australian rules football club based on Devonport, Tasmania. The club competed in the North West Football League since 1987 until going into recess in 2021. The club currently has a full junior program in the NWFL. History The club competed on an irregular basis in various non-senior North Western competitions between 1901 and 1944 before being promoted to senior status to participate in the North West Football Union from 1945 to 1986. In 1987 the club joined the Northern Tasmanian Football League (renamed the North West Football League in 2015), and has competed continuously in that competition until 2020. The club's senior arm (under-16s and older) went into recess in 2021, but the club retains a presence at junior level. The Cygnet Football Club is an Australian rules football club playing in the Southern Football League, also known as the SFL, in Tasmania, Australia. The Southern Football League is an Australian rules football league based in Tasmania, Australia. History Beginning and growth The Southern Tasmanian Football League (STFL) was founded in 1996. The league's original clubs were those of the recently defunct Tasmanian Amateur Football League (Southern Division) (Southern Amateurs) and two clubs from the Huon Football Association. The New Norfolk District Football Club, nicknamed ''The Eagles'', is an Australian rules football club currently playing in the Southern Football League, in Tasmania, Australia. History Origins The club was founded in 1878 with the first premiership won in 1891 under the name "Derwent Football Club", which would last until the late 1890s. With the "New Norfolk" name the team won the Southern Country Championship in 1904, the Brown Trophy (1906), the Ellis Dean (1908–1909) and the Corumbene Trophy (1910, 1913).
