Jason Chan Pak Yu
Jason Chan Pak-Yu (, born 20 July 1983 as Ivan Chan) is a Hong Kong Canadian singer. He debuted under Sony Music in 2006 and released his debut album ''First Experience'' in 2007 and has since released more than 10 albums. He has been dubbed by the Hong Kong media as the music industry's "hidden master" (樂壇隱世高手). Chan has also ventured into film and television, and business, owning two bars in Hong Kong. Life and career Early life and career beginnings Chan was born in Hong Kong and moved to Canada when he was seven years old with his mother after his parents divorced. He has a younger sister. Chan attended Markville Secondary School in Markham, Ontario, and studied social work in university briefly. He returned to Hong Kong in 2005 and worked in customer service at an IT firm. After his friend sent his demo and recordings from a singing competition in Canada to Sony Music Hong Kong (then known as Sony BMG), he was offered a contract and signed with the label. ...

Canto-pop
Cantopop (a contraction of "Cantonese pop music") or HK-pop (short for "Hong Kong pop music") is a genre of pop music written in standard Chinese and sung in Cantonese. Cantopop is also used to refer to the cultural context of its production and consumption. The genre began in the 1970s and became associated with Hong Kong popular music from the middle of the decade. Cantopop then reached its height of popularity in the 1980s and 1990s before slowly declining in the 2000s and experiencing a slight revival in the 2010s. ''Can't be half'' is the third full-length studio album released by Chinese Canto-pop singer Jason Chan. The album contains songs in Cantonese, English and Mandarin. The album was released on 18 December 2009 by record label Sony Music Entertainment. One of the songs appearing on the album, "最後的擁抱" contains a part of the melody from a song by the Japanese pop group flumpool. The guitarist from Flumpool is listed as the producer for the song. ''Dressage To Win'' (盛裝舞步愛作戰) is a nine-episode Hong Kong television series created by TVB in celebration of the 2008 Olympics held in Beijing. The series revolves around 12 students attending horse-riding school in the hopes to get a scholarship to go to England. ''Dressage To Win'' is part of the Four Leaf Clover TVB series and guest stars many TVB actors and singers throughout. Plot Twelve students compete to win a scholarship to England for horseback riding. The story's main couple includes Ben and Michelle who were lovers but, due to a misunderstanding, they broke up. A few years later they meet up again at horseback riding camp competing with each for the scholarship. Other couples include Kimmy and Ah Him, and couple Nel and Ah Boy who are complete opposites of each other. As the competition heats up so does the love between these students. Anita (2021 Film)
''Anita'' () is a 2021 Hong Kong biographical musical drama film about Cantopop star Anita Mui directed by Longman Leung, with a script written by Leung and Jack Ng. Louise Wong, in her screen role debut, stars as the titular singer, depicting her life from childhood until her last moments before her death of cervical cancer in 2003. The film features an ensemble cast, including Fish Liew, Gordon Lam and Louis Koo in supporting roles. Production of the biopic began in the 2010s when Bill Kong, president of Edko Films, initiated the project to commemorate Mui's legacy. Leung signed on the project and took over a year to write the script with Ng, as well as finalize the cast. Principal photography took place in 2018.
