Jason Barnes (born April 11, 1984) is a former professional Canadian football wide receiver. He was originally signed by the Central Valley Coyotes as a free agent in 2007. He then played for three seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos, followed by another three seasons with the Toronto Argonauts. He played college football for the Sacramento State Hornets. Matt Barnes (born March 9, 1980) is an American former professional basketball player who played 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Barnes was drafted in the second round of the 2002 NBA draft by the Memphis Grizzlies. He won an NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors in his last season with the league in 2017. He currently is a basketball analyst for ESPN as well as NBC Sports California for Sacramento Kings games. Early life Barnes was born in Santa Clara, California, to a white mother and an African American father. He attended Del Campo High School in Fair Oaks, California, where he was a letterman in football and basketball.
