Jason Adam
Jason Kendall Adam (born August 4, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball (MLB) and the United States national team. He has previously played in MLB for the Kansas City Royals, Toronto Blue Jays, and Chicago Cubs. Professional career In his senior season at Blue Valley Northwest High School, Adam pitched innings with a 2.16 earned run average. His 79 strikeouts to just 7 walks impressed scouts. Omaha Storm Chasers
The Omaha Storm Chasers are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. They are located in Papillion, Nebraska, a suburb southwest of Omaha, and play their home games at Werner Park, which opened in 2011. The team previously played at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium from 1969 to 2010. Omaha has been the only Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals since their inception in the 1969 Major League Baseball expansion. Base On Balls
A base on balls (BB), also known as a walk, occurs in baseball when a batter receives four pitches that the umpire calls '' balls'', and is in turn awarded first base without the possibility of being called out. The base on balls is defined in Section 2.00 of baseball's Official Rules, and further detail is given in 6.08(a). It is considered a faux pas for a professional player to literally walk to first base; the batter-runner and any advancing runners normally jog on such a play. The term "base on balls" distinguishes a walk from the other manners in which a batter can be awarded first base without liability to be put out (e.g., hit by pitch (HBP), catcher's interference).
