Jarrod Wallace
Jarrod Wallace (born 23 July 1991) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a for the Dolphins in the NRL. He previously played for the Brisbane Broncos and the Gold Coast Titans in the National Rugby League and has also played for Queensland in State of Origin. Early life Wallace was born and raised on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. He played his first junior rugby league for the Runaway Bay Seagulls at age 4. At age 13, Wallace moved to Coffs Harbour, New South Wales where his father played local rugby league. While there, he played junior rugby league with the Sawtell Panthers before signing with the Gold Coast Titans at age 16, and moving back to Queensland. Wallace has two daughters Lara (born 2012) and Petyon (b. 2014) with a former partner. He married Miss World Australia winner Courtney Thorpe in early 2019. T44 (classification)
T44 is a disability sport classification for disability athletics, applying to "Single below knee amputation or an athlete who can walk with moderately reduced function in one or both legs." It includes ISOD A4 and A9 classes. Definition This classification is for disability athletics. This classification is one of several classifications for athletes with ambulant related disabilities. Similar classifications are T40, T42, T43, T44, T45 and T46. 2015 NRL Grand Final
The 2015 NRL Grand Final was the conclusive and premiership-deciding game of the 2015 NRL season and was played on Sunday 4 October at Sydney's ANZ Stadium between the Brisbane Broncos and North Queensland Cowboys. North Queensland won the match 17–16 in golden point extra time, claiming their first premiership title in their twentieth year of competition. Due to its dramatic ending, the match has been regarded as one of the greatest grand finals in rugby league history, drawing comparisons with the 1989 NSWRL Grand Final and the 1997 ARL Grand Final. Adam Blair
Adam Ngawati Blair (born 20 March 1986) is a New Zealand rugby league coach and former professional rugby league footballer who played as a forward and in the National Rugby League (NRL), and the New Zealand and the New Zealand Māori international teams. Blair previously played for the Melbourne Storm between 2006 and 2011, where he won the 2009 NRL Grand Final, which was later stripped due to salary cap breaches, the Wests Tigers between 2012 and 2014, the Brisbane Broncos between 2015 and 2017, and finally the New Zealand Warriors between 2018 and his final season in 2020. Chicken Wing Tackle
A chicken wing tackle is a move in Australian rules football and rugby league, in which a player locks an opponent's arm so that he or she cannot legally move the ball. It is a controversial move that has injured players and resulted in fines and suspensions for players performing the tackle. The phrase was coined by Fox Sports NRL Producer Geoff Bullock (a.k.a. Bluey) in 2008. Rugby league Melbourne Storm forward Adam Blair was found guilty of committing a chicken wing tackle in an Australian Rugby League match against Brisbane Broncos in April 2008. New Zealand Warriors
The New Zealand Warriors are a professional rugby league football club based in Auckland, New Zealand that competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) premiership and is the League's only team from outside Australia. They were formed in 1995 as the Auckland Warriors, and are officially known as the One New Zealand Warriors for sponsorship reasons. The Warriors are coached by Andrew Webster and captained by Tohu Harris. The Warriors are based at Mount Smart Stadium in the Auckland suburb of Penrose. For the 1995 season the newly formed Auckland Warriors became the first club from outside Australia to be admitted to the Australian Rugby League's premiership when it expanded from 16 to 20 teams.
