Jarrick Bernard-Converse (born April 29, 2000) is an American professional football cornerback for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oklahoma State and LSU. Early life Bernard-Converse was born on April 29, 2000, and grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana. He attended Evangel Christian Academy and played track and football, being a team captain in the latter. He was ranked by 247Sports as the 88th-best safety recruit and the 47th-best player from the state. He committed to play college football for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. College career Bernard-Converse saw immediate playing time as a true freshman, totaling in 13 appearances (nine of which he started) 59 tackles, fifth-best on the team, two sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble and an interception. A fumble in gridiron football occurs when a player who has possession and control of the ball loses it before being downed (tackled), scoring, or going out of bounds.
