Jarrett Keohokalole
Jarrett Keohokalole (born August 7, 1983) is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Hawaii Senate, representing the 24th district which includes Kāne‘ohe and Kailua. He previously served in the Hawaii House of Representatives. He represented the 48th House District, which includes Kāne‘ohe, Kahalu‘u, and Waiāhole. Jarrett is a seventh-generation resident of Kāne‘ohe. Education In 2006, Keohokalole received a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Jill Tokuda
Jill Naomi Tokuda (born March 3, 1976) is an American businesswoman and politician serving as the U.S representative for Hawaii's 2nd congressional district since 2023. Tokuda represented the 24th district in the Hawaii Senate from 2006 to 2018. Background and education Tokuda was born and raised in Hawaii. She is a fourth-generation Japanese American. Tokuda earned her BA in international relations with a minor in Japanese studies from George Washington University. Political career Tokuda first elected to the Hawaii Senate in 2006, running unopposed in the September 23 Democratic primary. Hawaii House Of Representatives
The Hawaii House of Representatives is the lower house of the Hawaii State Legislature. Pursuant to Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution of Hawaii, amended during the 1978 constitutional convention, the House of Representatives consists of 51 members representing an equal number of districts across the islands. It is led by the Speaker of the House elected from the membership of the House, with majority and minority leaders elected from their party's respective caucuses. The current Speaker of the House is Scott Saiki. Legislators are elected to two-year terms and are not subject to term limits. As in many state legislatures in the United States, the Hawaii House of Representatives is a part-time body and legislators often have active careers outside government. Kaneohe, Hawaii
Kāneohe () is a census-designated place (CDP) included in the City and County of Honolulu and located in Hawaii state District of Koolaupoko on the island of Oahu. In the Hawaiian language, ''kāne ohe'' means "bamboo man". According to an ancient Hawaiian story a local woman compared her husband's cruelty to the sharp edge of cutting bamboo; thus the place was named Kāneohe or "bamboo man". The population was 37,430 at the 2020 census. Kāneohe is the largest of several communities along Kāneohe Bay and one of the two largest residential communities on the windward side of Oahu (the other is Kailua).
