Jarrad Prue
Jarrad Prue (born 11 February 1982) is an Australian former basketball player and current coach. He played 15 seasons with the Lakeside Lightning of the NBL1 West and is considered one of the NBL1 West's all-time best, having earned the title as the league's greatest ever rebounder. In 2013, he had a three-game stint with the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League (NBL). In 2020, he was appointed president of the Lakeside Lightning. Early life Prue grew up playing more cricket than basketball. Basketball career Early years (2003–2005) Prue debuted for the Lakeside Lightning in the State Basketball League (SBL) in 2003 and quickly became a significant contributor thanks to his coach, Andy Stewart. He averaged 3.96 points and 6.4 rebounds in 24 games in his first season and 9.65 points and 18.5 rebounds in 26 games in 2004. Lakeside Lightning is an NBL1 West club based in Perth, Western Australia. The club fields a team in both the Men's and Women's NBL1 West. The club is owned and managed by Lakeside Baptist Church. The Lightning play their home games at Lakeside Recreation Centre. Club history Background The Lakeside Lightning basketball program was established by the Lakeside Baptist Church in 1995 when teams were first entered into the junior state league, the Western Australian Basketball League (WABL). Trevor Gleeson
Trevor Gleeson (born 28 May 1968) is an Australian professional basketball coach who is an assistant coach for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). After starting his coaching career in his hometown of Warrnambool, Gleeson had his first stint in the National Basketball League (NBL) between 1997 and 2000 as an assistant coach with the Brisbane Bullets. Between 2000 and 2004, Gleeson coached in the Continental Basketball Association in the United States. After two years in South Korea, he returned to Australia in 2006 to coach the Townsville Crocodiles. Five seasons in North Queensland brought significant success, guiding the team to five consecutive post-season appearances and winning the NBL Coach of the Year Award in 2011. The 2019 MSBL season was the 31st season of the Men's State Basketball League (SBL). The regular season began on Friday 15 March, with round 1 seeing a 2018 grand final rematch between the Perry Lakes Hawks and Joondalup Wolves. The 2019 MSBL All-Star Game was played on 3 June at Bendat Basketball Centre – the home of basketball in Western Australia. The regular season ended on Sunday 28 July. South West Slammers is an NBL1 West club based in Bunbury, Western Australia. The club fields a team in both the Men's and Women's NBL1 West. David Daniels (basketball)
David Harley Daniels (born April 2, 1971) is a Canadian basketball coach and former player. Early life and career Daniels was born in Fort St. John, British Columbia. He played college basketball at Clackamas Community College and Colorado Christian University, earning first-team all-conference at both colleges. He was named the 1993 Colorado Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player after ranking second nationally in assists and leading his team to the Colorado Athletic Conference title. Following his collegiate career, Daniels played for the Denver Nuggets at the 1993 Rocky Mountain Review NBA Summer League and split the 1993–94 CBA season with the Rochester Renegades and the Yakima Sun Kings.
