Jaroslav Tetiva
Jaroslav Tetiva (alternate spelling: Tětiva; 4 February 1932 – 2 March 2021) was a Czech basketball player. He was voted to the List of the best Czech basketball players of the 20th century, Czechoslovakian 20th Century Team in 2001. With the senior Czechoslovakian national basketball team, Czechoslovakian national team, Tetiva competed in the men's tournament at the Basketball at the 1960 Summer Olympics, 1960 Summer Olympics. With Czechoslovakia, he also won the silver medal at the 1955 EuroBasket, the bronze medal at the 1957 EuroBasket, and the silver medal at the 1959 EuroBasket. The 1955 FIBA European Championship, commonly called FIBA EuroBasket 1955, was the ninth FIBA EuroBasket regional basketball championship, held by FIBA. Basketball at the 1960 Summer Olympics was the fifth appearance of the sport of basketball as an official Olympic medal event. 16 nations were admitted into the Olympic tournament, with many others being eliminated in a pre-Olympic tournament held earlier in the year from 13 to 20 August 1960 at the Land Rover Arena at Bologna. 64 games of basketball were played in the Olympic tournament that was held at the Palazzetto dello Sport and PalaLottomatica, both in Rome. The 16 teams were split up into four groups for the preliminary round. Each team played every other team in its group once. The top two teams in each group advanced to the semifinals in two pools of four, while the lower two teams were sent to a consolation semifinal for 9th through 16th place. Chomutov
Chomutov (; german: Komotau) is a city in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 46,000 inhabitants. There are almost 80,000 inhabitants in the city's wider metropolitan area.
