Jarinter Mwasya
Jarinter Mwasya (born 30 December 1996) is a Kenyan track and field athlete. She was the 2022 African champion over 800 metres. Mwaysa was issued with a four year competition ban by the Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya due to a doping violations (set to expire in August 2027). Early life Mwaysa is from Iuani a mountainous region in Makueni County. She started running at Nthukula Secondary School in Wote. In 2013 she achieved her first medal over 800m whilst competing at the East Africa School Games in Lira, Uganda. Mwaysa joined the Kenya Defence Force in 2015. Career In May 2022 she achieved a new personal best time of 1:59.84 at the Meeting international du SATUC in Toulouse. Mwaysa then won the 800m African Championship race in 2022 held at Saint Pierre, Mauritius. Jemma Reekie
Jemma Reekie (born 6 March 1998) is a Scottish middle-distance runner. She placed fourth in the 800 metres at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, narrowly missing out on the bronze medal. Reekie achieved a rare double at the 2019 European U23 Championships, winning both the 800m and 1500 metres events. At age 19, she took the 1500m title at the 2017 European under-20 Championships, when she also finished fourth in the 3000 metres. Reekie is the British record holder for the indoor mile. She won two British titles, and four titles at junior level. Catriona Bisset (born 1 March 1994) is an Australian middle-distance runner who specialises in the 800 metres. She holds the Oceanian record for both indoors and outdoors in the event, and won the gold medal at the 2019 Universiade. Bisset took four individual Australian national titles. Diribe Welteji Kejelcha (born 13 May 2002) is an Ethiopian middle-distance runner. She won the silver medal in the 1500 metres at the 2023 World Championships and placed fourth in the 800 metres at the 2022 World Championships. At age 16, Welteji won the 800 m at the 2018 World U20 Championships, breaking the championship record in the process. She took silver for the 1500 metres at the 2021 World U20 Championships.
