Jared Warren
Jared Warren is an American musician who is the bassist of Big Business (alongside drummer Coady Willis) and formerly the Melvins. Career Both Warren and Willis joined the Melvins in January 2006 and appear on '' (A) Senile Animal'' as well as 2008's '' Nude with Boots'' and 2010's album '' The Bride Screamed Murder''. Warren had a role as actor in the 2009 horror movie Muckman. Warren was previously a member of bands Karp, Tight Bros from Way Back When, White Shit, and The Whip. He also contributed vocals to the song "Breaking Rocks" on the album ''Forging Steel and Laying Stone'' by Akimbo. In 2020, Warren participated in a long form career spanning interview on Conan Neutron's Protonic Reversal, speaking about the Whip reissues, Big Business, his time with the Melvins and much more. In September 2022, Sara Lund from Unwound revealed in an interview with Pitchfork that Warren was recruited to play bass on the band's reunion tour, replacing late bassist Vern Rumsey. Sel ...

Karp (band)
Karp was an American post-hardcore band from Tumwater, Washington, that formed in 1990 and lasted until 1998. The band was formed by Chris Smith a.k.a. Chris "Slayer", Jared Warren and Scott Jernigan. They released three full-length albums titled ''Mustaches Wild'', ''Suplex'', and ''Self Titled LP.'' They also released several EPs and 7-inch records. Karp mixed elements of hardcore punk and metal à la the Melvins with an ear for pop-influenced song assembly. The band name is inspired from a newsletter/zine that Smith put out in high school and is an acronym that stands for "Kill All Redneck Pricks". Their oft used logo of an eagle with spread wings was a modification on the defunct National Recovery Administration's "Blue Eagle" logo. It features every member that has been a part of the Melvins over the previous decade, centered around the many bass guitar players to have passed through the band. Steven Shane McDonald of Redd Kross makes his debut with the Melvins, while Nirvana co-founder Krist Novoselic makes a guest appearance. ''Everybody Loves Sausages'' is an album of cover songs by the Melvins, released on April 30, 2013. In similar fashion to ''The Crybaby'' it features guests on most of the tracks and even features the Melvins Lite on three tracks. Three of the tracks had been previously released in splits. Black Betty previously appeared on a split 7-inch with the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion covering the same track. Female Trouble and Carpe Diem are featured on a split 12-inch with Redd Kross. A nine-part 7-inch Tribute series was released through Amphetamine Reptile Records between 2013 and 2015. Featuring ten songs from the album, seven of them featured bonus cover songs of each respective band. The songs are taken from their 2008 tour, with the majority of the tracks coming from their two most recent studio albums at the time, '' (A) Senile Animal'' and '' Nude with Boots''.
