Jared Nickens
Jared Drew Nickens (born December 27, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for the KW Titans of the National Basketball League of Canada. He played college basketball for Maryland. Early life and high school career Nickens attended the Westtown School near West Chester, Pennsylvania, where he was coached by Seth Berger. He was considered a four-star recruit by 247Sports.com and was ranked the 94th best prospect in his class. Nickens committed to Maryland on June 16, 2013. College career As a freshman, Nickens came off the bench on Maryland's first NCAA tournament team under coach Mark Turgeon. He scored 14 points in the first round match against Valparaiso. He averaged 6.1 points per game as a freshman, shooting 39% from behind the arc. Maryland Terrapins Men's Basketball
The Maryland Terrapins men's basketball team represents the University of Maryland in National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I competition. Maryland, a founding member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), left the ACC in 2014 to join the Big Ten Conference. Gary Williams, who coached the Terrapins from 1989 to 2011, led the program to its greatest success, including two consecutive Final Fours, which culminated in the 2002 NCAA National Championship. Under Williams, Maryland appeared in 11 straight NCAA tournaments from 1994 to 2004. He retired in May 2011 and was replaced by former Texas A&M coach Mark Turgeon. The National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada; french: Ligue nationale de basketball du Canada) is a Canadian professional men's minor league basketball organization. The NBL Canada was founded in 2011, when three existing Premier Basketball League teams joined with four new franchises for the league's inaugural season. The league has changed in size multiple times and has four active teams for the 2023 season, all in Ontario, but historically has had several located in the Atlantic provinces. The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official List of developmental and minor sports leagues, minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. The league started with eight teams until NBA commissioner David Stern announced a plan to expand the NBA D-League to 15 teams and develop it into a true minor league farm team, farm system, with each NBA D-League team affiliated with one or more NBA teams in March 2005. The Rio Grande Valley Vipers are an American professional basketball team of the NBA G League based in Edinburg, Texas, and are affiliated with the Houston Rockets. The Vipers play their home games at the Bert Ogden Arena. The Penn State Nittany Lions basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team representing the Pennsylvania State University. Justin Nicholas Jackson (born February 18, 1997) is a Canadian professional basketball player who last played for the Long Island Nets of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Maryland Terrapins. He was selected in the second round of the 2018 NBA draft. High school career Born in Toronto, Ontario, Jackson attended Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada. The Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball team is part of the University of Iowa athletics department. The Hawkeyes have played in 28 NCAA Tournaments, eight NIT Tournaments, won eight Big Ten regular-season conference championships and won the Big Ten tournament three times.
