Jared Falk
Jared Falk (born 1981 in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada) is a Canadian professional drummer, teacher and businessman. He is the founder and CEO of Drumeo. Biography Falk started playing drums at age 15 and teaching his first student at age 16. He has played with artists such as Riley Armstrong and Cory Alstad. In 2012, he founded Drumeo, an online drumming tutorial site offering video lessons with a number of instructors. Drumeo has also hosted guest lessons from well-known drummers including Benny Greb, Anika Nilles, Bernard Purdie, Thomas Lang, Dennis Chambers, Mark Guiliana, Taylor Gordon, Jonathan Moffett, Tommy Igoe, Peter Erskine, Gene Hoglan, Eric Boudreault, Russ Miller, Stanley Randolph, Senri Kawaguchi, David Garibaldi, and Antonio Sanchez, . Riley Armstrong (musician)
Riley Armstrong is a Contemporary Christian singer-songwriter from the hamlet of Dapp, Alberta, Canada. His live performances have been described as innovative, engaging, funny and surprising. Musically his work is eclectic, combining acoustic guitar and hip-hop rhythms, with layers of sound supported by sampling and programmed loops. A few of his notable songs are "Sleep", ">" (Greater Than), "What I Found", and "The Only". Musical career Riley Armstrong moved to Vancouver at the age of 18 to pursue a career in music. He earned a degree in sound recording and soon became the sound engineer for the Christian rock band Hokus Pick. Armstrong was the engineer on the 1997 Hokus Pick album ''Snappy''. A year later he released his own independent effort ''Novel Reason'' under the pseudonym Plain Edson. Benny Greb
Benny Greb (born 13 June 1980 in Augsburg, West Germany) is a German drummer, singer and clinician. He started playing the drums at age six and began taking lessons at age twelve. He plays a large variety of music and can be seen playing rock with and The Ron Spielman Trio, jazz with The Benny Greb Brass Band and Sabri Tulug Tirpan, funk with Jerobeam, fusion with the NDR Big Band on their Frank Zappa Project, with 3erGezimmeR and Wayne Krantz, and acoustic punk with Strom & Wasser. He has also performed at the Modern Drummer Festival 2010 and at many clinics and drum festivals around the world. Greb is endorsed by Sonor Drums and has his signature snare, Remo Drum Heads, Vic Firth, and by Meinl Percussion. Bernard Purdie
Bernard Lee "Pretty" Purdie (born June 11, 1939) is an American drummer, and an influential R&B, soul and funk musician. He is known for his precise musical time keeping and his signature use of triplets against a half-time backbeat: the "Purdie Shuffle." He was inducted into the ''Modern Drummer'' Hall of Fame in 2013. Purdie recorded ''Soul Drums'' (1968) as a band leader and although he went on to record ''Alexander's Ragtime Band'', the album remained unreleased until ''Soul Drums'' was reissued on CD in 2009 with the ''Alexander's Ragtime Band'' sessions.
