Jared Daperis
Jared Daperis (born 18 August 1989) is an Australian film director. He has received a Young Artist Award nomination and Berlin Commercial Award Nominations. Early life Daperis was born in Melbourne in 1991, the middle child of three. His father of Greek descent migrated from Egypt and his mother from the United Kingdom. Daniel Daperis is his brother. Daperis attended Mentone Grammar School in Melbourne for his secondary education before graduating and moving to New York to study at film at New York University; throughout his childhood he performed in films and television. Daperis returned to his directorial studies in Australia and moved to Sydney to study cinematography at AFTRS. He began his directing career as a commercial director in 2018. Melbourne
Melbourne ( ; Boonwurrung/ Woiwurrung: ''Narrm'' or ''Naarm'') is the capital and most populous city of the Australian state of Victoria, and the second-most populous city in both Australia and Oceania. Lisa Gerrard
Lisa Germaine Gerrard (; born 12 April 1961) is an Australian musician, singer and composer who rose to prominence as part of the music group Dead Can Dance with music partner Brendan Perry. She is known for her unique singing style technique ( glossolalia), influenced by her childhood spent in multicultural areas of Melbourne. She has a dramatic contralto voice and has a vocal range of three octaves. Born and raised in Melbourne, Gerrard played a pivotal role in the city's Little Band scene and fronted post-punk group Microfilm before co-founding Dead Can Dance in 1981. With Perry, she explored numerous traditional and modern styles, laying the foundations for what became known as neoclassical dark wave. She sings sometimes in English and often in a unique language that she invented. ''Hotel Sorrento'' is a 1995 Australian drama film directed by Richard Franklin. Three sisters reunite in the sleepy Australian town of Sorrento after a ten-year hiatus. One of the three has written a book called ''Melancholy'' which is a thinly disguised version of their lives. The film is an adaptation of Hannie Rayson's 1990 play of the same name. The Full Monty
''The Full Monty'' is a 1997 British comedy film directed by Peter Cattaneo, starring Robert Carlyle, Mark Addy, William Snape, Steve Huison, Tom Wilkinson, Paul Barber and Hugo Speer. The screenplay was written by Simon Beaufoy. The film is set in Sheffield, England during the 1990s, and tells the story of six unemployed men, four of them former steel workers, who decide to form a male striptease act (à la the Chippendale dancers) in order to make some money and for the main character, Gaz, to be able to see his son. Gaz declares that their show will be much better than the renowned Chippendales dancers because they will go " the full monty"— strip all the way—hence the film's title. ''Round the Twist'' is an Australian children's comedy television series based on stories by author Paul Jennings that follows the supernatural adventures of the Twist family. The series was created and produced by Patricia Edgar, and developed by the Australian Children's Television Foundation (ACTF). It was created with the intention of producing a show that both children and parents could watch. History Patricia Edgar agreed to have Paul Jennings write the series on the condition he would be mentored by and collaborate with the director, actor, and writer Esben Storm.
