Japanil Kalyanaraman
''Japanil Kalyanaraman'' () is a 1985 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed by S. P. Muthuraman, starring Kamal Haasan and Radha . A follow up to '' Kalyanaraman'' (1979), it is the first sequel film in Tamil cinema. It garnered mixed reviews and performed average business at the box office. Plot Raman is a journalist who exposes a smuggling and black money racket, which involves the high-profile and his son Narendran, and is about to go public. The magazine is bought by Narendran overnight. When Raman reveals that he is about to start his own magazine, he is beaten up by Narendran's men. After surviving miraculously, Raman, his son Arun, and the spirit of the now-dead Kalyanaraman, travel to Japan to buy printing equipment and to show Arun around. In the comedy side plot, Mayilsamy and Muppaathaa win a lucky draw to visit Japan, guided by Munusamy. Panchu Arunachalam
Panchanathan Arunachalam (22 March 1941 – 9 August 2016) was an Indian writer, director, producer and lyricist who worked in Tamil cinema. He was mentored by poet Kannadasan who was his uncle. He also worked as a lyricist in the Tamil cinema industry. He started producing films under his production banner named P. A. Arts. His son Subbu Panchu Arunachalam is an actor and dubbing artist in the Tamil film industry. Career In 2004, Panchu Arunachalam opted to return to work as a director and planned a film titled ''Ganesha'' with Cheran in the lead role. However, the film eventually did not materialise. Tiruchirapalli Srinivasan Rangarajan, professionally credited by his pseudonym Vaali (born 29 October 1931 – 18 July 2013) was an Indian poet who is the highest songs wrote lyricist in cinema and whose works were in Tamil, had a five-decade long association with the Tamil film industry, wrote over 15,000 songs.
