"Japanese Lovesong" is the second single from the Dutch group Ten Sharp Ten Sharp is a Dutch band, sometimes labeled as a one-hit wonder group, because they are best known for their early 1990s hit song "You", a hit in 13 European countries in 1991 and 1992. The two band members are Marcel Kapteijn (vocals) and Niel ..., released in June 1985. The song was written by the band and produced by Michiel Hoogenboezem. The single made it into the Dutch Top 40, reaching number 30. The song combines a reggae-feel with Eastern vocal lines and synth-sounds. In the extended version of the song there is a long instrumental part with a heavy bass driven hook. Samples of the falsetto choir also appear. The B-side "Goin' On" is a piano ballad with vocals and piano only. Ten Sharp is a Dutch band, sometimes labeled as a one-hit wonder group, because they are best known for their early 1990s hit song "You", a hit in 13 European countries in 1991 and 1992. The two band members are Marcel Kapteijn (vocals) and Niels Hermes ( keyboards). History Formation (1982) Streets was a local band formed in the beginning 1982, when the two rival bands Prizoner and Pin-Up came together in the same room. Influenced by Thin Lizzy, they started writing symphonic rocksongs and played mainly in the city of Purmerend and the local area. The first gig was at the Hutspop festival on March 3, 1982. The band at this stage was Marcel Kapteijn on vocals and guitar, Niels Hermes on keyboards, Martin Boers on leadguitar, Ton Groen on bass and Joop van de Berg played the drums. In the summer of 1982, Joop van de Berg was replaced by Wil Bouwes from Neon Graffiti. This would be the line-up until the break-up in 1987. When The Snow Falls
"When the Snow Falls" is the first single from the Dutch group Ten Sharp, released in January 1985. The song was written by the band and produced by Michiel Hoogenboezem. The single made it into the Vara's Verrukkelijke 15 charts and entered the Dutch Top 40 Tip-charts at the end of January 1985. The extended version of the song adds an atmospheric intro to the song. Halfway the song there are guitar solos and synth-arpeggios laid on the instrumental basic tracks. Last Words is the third single from the Dutch group Ten Sharp, released in January 1986. The song was written by the band and produced by Michiel Hoogenboezem. The single made it into the Dutch Top 40 Tip-charts. In March 1986, they shot a video for the song in De Posthoorn church in Amsterdam. The B-side "White Gold" is a heavy slow song about the hunt on elephants in Africa. An edited version appeared on the "You In Modern English, ''you'' is the second-person pronoun.
