Toshinori Omi
is a Japanese actor. Career Born in Tokyo, Omi joined the children's theater troupe Himawari Theatre Group when he was still in kindergarten. He made his film debut at age 13 in Kon Ichikawa's ''Hi no Tori'' (1978) and got his first starring role in a film with Shinji Somai's '' Tonda Couple'' (1980). He starred in Nobuhiko Obayashi's '' Tenkosei'' (1982), for which he won a Japan Academy Prize best newcomer award. He appeared in most of Obayashi's films until the mid-1990s. Since then he has moved on to adult roles, playing white collar businessmen and fathers. Kanako Higuchi
(born December 13, 1958) is a Japanese actress. Her credits include film, television, and radio dramas, stage, commercials, and voice roles. Born in Kamo, Niigata, she played her first lead at age 20 in the television drama ''Kōrogi-bashi.'' Kanako's film credits include '' Hokusai Manga'', '' Bedtime Eyes'', '' Zatoichi'' (1989), '' Casshern'', '' Memories of Tomorrow'', and ''Ashura no Jō Blood Gets In Your Eyes''. Kōji Tsuruta
, better known by his stage name , was a Japanese actor and singer. He appeared in almost 260 feature films and had a unique style of singing. His daughter, Sayaka Tsuruta, is an actress. Career Born in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Tsuruta was raised in Osaka by his grandmother, following his parents' divorce. A delinquent in high school, he finished second from the bottom of his class. Tsuruta was studying at Kansai University when he was drafted into the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service in 1944. After the war he joined Hirokichi Takada's theater troupe and made his film debut at Shochiku in 1948 with '' Yūkyō no mure'', gaining a female following for playing handsome leads. is a genre of film, television, video game, and theatre in Japan. Literally meaning "period dramas", they are most often set during the Edo period of Japanese history, from 1603 to 1868. Kenichi Hagiwara
was a Japanese singer and actor. Music career Also known as Sho-Ken, he was the lead singer of The Tempters, which was a blues-rock band connected to the Group Sounds scene, and gained big hits in the late 1960s. Hagiwara was known for his good looks and wild vocals, which appealed to young male and female fans.
