The is the National Olympic Committee in Japan for the Olympic Games movement, based in Tokyo, Japan. Table tennis at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics was held from 17 to 23 August at the Wutaishan Sports Center in Nanjing, China. Qualification Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) can enter a maximum of 2 competitors, 1 per each gender. As hosts, China is given the maximum quota should they not qualify an athlete and a further 8 spots, 4 in each gender, will be allocated by the Tripartite Commission, however one spot was unused and was reallocated. The remaining 54 places shall be decided in four qualification phases: the 2014 World Qualification Event, the Under-18 World Rankings, six Road to Nanjing series events and six continental qualification tournaments. To be eligible to participate at the Youth Olympics athletes must have been born between 1 January 1996 and 31 December 1999. Qualification Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) can enter a maximum of 6 competitors, 3 per each gender and 1 per each weapon. 60 places will be decided at the 2014 Cadet World Championships held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria from 3–12 April 2014. The top 4 European, top 2 American, top 2 Asian/Oceania and top African fencers from each event will qualify. Furthermore, the top 2 Oceania fencers and the top fencer from Africa, Americas, Asia and Europe across all events not yet qualified will also qualify. Wrestling at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics was held from 25 to 27 August at the Longjiang Gymnasium in Nanjing, China. Qualification Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) can enter a maximum of 5 competitors, 2 in Boys' Freestyle, 2 in Boys' Greco-Roman and 1 in Girls' Freestyle. 98 athletes, 70 male and 28 female qualified over five continental qualification tournament. Each continent qualified 1 athlete in each event while the Americas in Boys' Freestyle, Asia in Boys' Greco-Roman and Girls' Freestyle and Europe in all three qualified a second athlete in each event. Despite being hosts, China was not given any quotas and had to qualify normally. A further 14, 10 male and 4 female athletes was decided by the Tripartite Commission.
