January Oru Orma
''January Oru Orma'' () is a 1987 Indian Malayalam-language romance film, directed by Joshiy, written by A. R. Mukesh, based on a screenplay by Kaloor Dennis. The film was produced by Tharanjini Films. The film stars Mohanlal and Karthika in the lead roles, while Suresh Gopi, M. G. Soman and Jayabharathi appear in supporting roles. The film was a commercial success at the box office. It was declared a super hit. The film has musical score by Ouseppachan. Plot Raju is an orphan trying to make a living as a tourist guide in Kodaikanal. But he is constantly discouraged from this act by the local police inspector Dinesh nicknamed "Minnal". Joshiy (born 18 July 1952) is an Indian film director and producer from Varkala in Kerala who works predominantly in the Malayalam film industry. He made his debut with ''Tiger Salim'' (1978) and has directed over 80 films. He has also directed a few Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. In the beginning of his career, he received national fame when he directed ''Dharm Aur Qanoon'' (1984) starring Rajesh Khanna and Dharmendra, with Khanna in double roles.
