Janina Déia Chagas da Conceição (born October 25, 1972, in Rio de Janeiro) is a former volleyball player who competed for Brazil in the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games. She won the gold medal with the Women's National Team at the 1999 Pan American Games. She participated at the 1999 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup The 1999 FIVB Women's World Cup was held from 2 to 16 November 1999 in Japan. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball.
