Jani Sarajärvi
Jani Sarajärvi (born 9 September 1979 in Pudasjärvi) is a Finnish professional football manager who is currently working as a coach-analyst for the Mali national football team. Sarajärvi, a former pro player, has previously held head or assistant coaching positions in three continents, both in premier club level and national team settings. He’s also a researcher PhD student at the University of Lisbon, one of the best academic football institutions in Europe. Club career Sarajärvi's professional playing career lasted 11 years and during this time he played in Veikkausliiga and Allsvenskan, earning one senior cap for Finland national team and eight for under-21 national team. He won silver and bronze in Veikkausliiga, silver in Finnish cup, and three Finnish League cups. Kakkonen or II divisioona is the third level in the league system of Finnish football and comprises 36 Finnish football teams. The II divisioona was introduced in 1973 and in the mid-1990s became known as the Kakkonen (Finnish for 'Number Two'; sv, Tvåan). The Finnish League Cup was a knock-out association football, football competition contested annually during the pre-season in winter by teams from Veikkausliiga.
