Jani Lakanen
Jani Lakanen (born 11 December 1976 in Lohja) is a Finnish orienteering competitor, winner of the 2006 World Orienteering Championships (Long distance). He became world champion in ''relay'' in 2001, together with Jarkko Huovila, Juha Peltola and Janne Salmi. He won the overall Orienteering World Cup in 2000. He received a gold medal in ''relay'' at the 2002 European Orienteering Championships in Sümeg, and a gold medal in the ''long course'' in 2006 in Otepää. Lohja (; sv, Lojo) is a city and municipality in the Uusimaa region of Finland. The city has a population of 47,518 (2017), and it covers an area of of which , or 8.3 percent, is water. The population density of Lohja is . The municipality is bilingual, with the majority being Finnish and minority Swedish speakers. Lohja has the fourth-most summer houses of any municipality in Finland, with 8,468 located within the city as of June 2018.
