Janet Blair (singer-songwriter)
Janet Blair is an independent pop/Christian singer-songwriter from New Mexico. Originally trained as a classical oboist at the University of Maryland, Blair played with multiple ensembles, including the Georgetown Quintet and All Points West, including some experimental/modern work. Blair moved to New Mexico in 2013, playing for the El Paso Symphony Orchestra, the Las Cruces Symphony Orchestra, and collaborating with local musicians. Matthew Thomas Odmark (born January 25, 1974) is an American musician most known for being a guitarist for Christian alternative folk rock group Jars of Clay. Biography Matthew Odmark was raised in Rochester, New York where he attended McQuaid Jesuit High School. He studied English literature at the University of Rochester. As a youth he knew pianist Charlie Lowell. When guitarist Matt Bronleewe left Lowell's band Jars of Clay, Odmark took his place as guitarist and backing vocalist. In 2001, Jars of Clay were awarded honorary graduations from Greenville College due to their demonstrated understanding of their craft. Despite never being an attendee of the school, Odmark was granted this award also. Personal life Matthew Odmark is married to Kristen Odmark. They adopted their son, Dylan Matthew Odmark, in 2007. Gray Matters (record Label)
Gray Matters is an imprint record label structured underneath the Nettwerk Music Group. The label was founded in 2007 by Jars of Clay band members Dan Haseltine, Stephen Mason, Matt Odmark, and Charlie Lowell. The creation of the label was in response to the band's record contract's ending with Essential Records, and the band's desiring to control their music output. The label will be distributed by Provident/Integrity Distribution (as was Essential Records) to the Christian and mainstream markets. The band had been with Nettwerk under their management division since 2003. As of now, Jars of Clay and Disappointed by Candy are the only acts signed to the record label. The first Gray Matters release will be a Disappointed by Candy album, followed by the Jars of Clay's Christmas album, ''Christmas Songs'', due to be released on October 16, 2007.
