Janeiro (song)
"Janeiro" is a vocal trance music track produced and released in 2000 by Solid Sessions. The song is about a girl who falls in love with a DJ on tour who visits Icaraí Beach in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro State during a chance meeting. She loses contact with him when he goes home and pines for him. She meets up with him again at a later date on the same beach, again by chance. She makes her interest known at this time and asserts her wishes to remain with him. Over the years, many fan-based interpretations were derived from the original. The success of the track is largely attributed to the vocal remix done by Pronti and Kalmani, whose studio was next door to Solid Sessions' studio in the same building. Vocal Trance
Vocal trance is a subgenre of trance music that focuses on vocals and melodies. The subgenre came into existence in the early 1990s, when trance was still developing. Although many early trance records used vocal samples mixed in with the beats, the earliest examples of the style appeared in 1992–93. Characteristics A typical track consists of three elements, though later tracks labeled ''vocal trance'' may not include all of them. A track begins with an intro of progressive beats. Kyau & Albert is the working name for two trance music producers and DJs from Germany named Ralph Kyau () and Steven Moebius Albert. They were formerly known as Kyau vs. Albert but changed their working name to Kyau & Albert in 2006. James Alexander Goodale Holden (born 7 June 1979) is a British electronic music artist and DJ. After beginning his career as a DJ and producer, Holden has moved extensively into live performance and founded his own record label Border Community. Early career Holden grew up in Market Bosworth, Leicestershire, before studying mathematics at Oxford University. He started his career in 1999 at age 19 and swiftly gained wider recognition with the release of trance single "Horizons", which he created with the freeware software Buzz. Carlo Resoort (born 1 March 1973) is a Dutch DJ, remixer and producer. He is best known as the main act of 4 Strings. Music career Resoort originally began working with Jan De Vos when they found a mutual interest in dance music. The two spent all of their free time in the recording studio, and later De Vos went on to become 'DJ 4 Strings' while Resoort headed '4 Strings'. Dash Berlin is a Dutch electronic music duo started in 2007 in The Hague by Eelke Kalberg and Sebastiaan Molijn. Dash Berlin were voted the seventh most popular DJs in the world according to ''DJ Mag'' in 2012; Kalberg and Molijn were record producers. Kalberg and Molijn left the group in 2019 and returned in 2021 after winning a legal dispute against Jeffrey Sutorius over the "Dash Berlin" trademark. Signum (musical Group)
Signum is the name for two Dutch producers, Pascal Minnaard () and Ronald Hagen (). They are producers who create and remix mainly trance music. Career Originally they both lived in Zoetermeer, a city in the Netherlands. In 2008, Minnaard moved to Norway with his fiancé. Both Hagen and Minnaard still work together with the aid of internet technology and share projects together to create Signum tracks and DJ sets. Their first notable mainstream success was in 1997 with "What Ya Got 4 Me" (based on Tony de Vit's "The Dawn"), becoming a club anthem.
