''Jane Wiedlin'' is the debut studio album by American musician Jane Wiedlin, released in October 1985 by I.R.S. Records. It was her first solo album after leaving new wave group The Go-Go's. The track "My Traveling Heart" dealt with Wiedlin's feelings about the breakup of the band. "Blue Kiss" was released as the lead single, reaching 77 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and 30 on Hot Dance Club Play. The album itself reached 127 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Jane Marie Genevieve Wiedlin (born May 20, 1958) is an American musician and singer, best known as the co-founder, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist of the new wave music, new wave band The The Go-Go's, Go-Go's. She has also had a successful solo career. The Go-Go's went on to become one of the most successful American bands of the 1980s, helping popularize new wave music with hits such as "We Got the Beat", "Our Lips Are Sealed", and "Vacation (The Go-Go's song), Vacation". As a solo artist, Wiedlin had her biggest hit with the song "Rush Hour (Jane Wiedlin song), Rush Hour", which peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100. As an actress, she had roles as the singing telegram girl in ''Clue (film), Clue'' (1985) and as Joan of Arc in ''Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure'' (1989). Wire Train
Wire Train was a San Francisco-based alternative rock band, who released six albums in the 1980s and 1990s. History The band was formed in 1983 by four students from San Francisco State University, Kevin Hunter, Kurt Herr, Frederico Gil-Sola, and Anders Rundblad. They were first known as the Renegades; when they had to change their name, they became Wire Train. The band's first album features Anders Rundblad (bass guitar, vocals), Federico Gil-Sola (drums), Kevin Hunter (vocals, guitar), and Kurt Herr (vocals, guitar). Rundblad had previously played with the Swedish bands Motvind and Gary T'To Band. Michael Lord is an American songwriter, composer, producer and Indie recording artist. His 2004 release ''SWAY'' found an audience when his song ''Smile'' was chosen by the Apple iTunes Music Store as their Single of The Week. Other songs from ''SWAY'' including "Bleed" and "Forgiven" soon found their way into hit television shows such as ''Alias (TV series), Alias'' and ''What About Brian''. "Blue Kiss" is the debut solo single by American musician Jane Wiedlin. Written by Wiedlin and American singer/songwriter Randell Kirsch, the song is from Wiedlin's 1985 self-titled debut album and is her first solo single after having left the all-female rock band the Go-Go's. It reached No. 77 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and No. 30 on the Hot Dance Club Play chart. The 7" single was backed by the parent album's closing album track "My Travelling Heart", a Celtic-flavored ballad that deals with Wiedlin's feelings about the breakup of the band. An extended 12-inch single was also released, featuring an instrumental version of "Blue Kiss", along with two extended dance versions, one of which was remixed by famed Madonna collaborator William Orbit.
