Jane Saunders
Jane Saunders is an Australian country music singer. Her album ''Strangers to Your Heart'' was nominated for a 1995 ARIA Award for Best Country Album. Saunders was a member of the harmony trio Saunders, Kane and Del with Genni Kane (Flying Emus) and Shanley Del. In 1995 they released ''Tea For Three'' through ABC Music. Flying Emus are an Australian country/ bluegrass band that formed in 1984 and released four studio albums, including, '' This Town'', which won an ARIA Award for Best Country Album in 1988. They disbanded in 1990. At the Country Music Awards of Australia in January 2013, John Kane (guitar, mandolin), announced they had reformed with other founders: his younger sister Genni Kane on lead vocals and guitar, Mike Kerin on violin and mandolin and Ian Simpson on banjo, joined by new member Michael Vidale on bass guitar. Shanley Del Morris (born 9 November 1962), who performs as Shanley Del, is a New Zealand-born Australian-based country and pop music singer-songwriter. Her second album, ''My Own Sweet Time'' (September 1997), won the ARIA Award for Best Country Album in 1998. Biography Shanley Del Morris was born in Hamilton, New Zealand in 1962, and grew up as the seventh of nine children with three brothers (Alister, Rhys and Tam) and four sisters (Bronte, Maxine, Joanne and Jenny). In 1991 Del moved to Sydney to work as a backing singer for her elder sister, Jenny, who had relocated there ten years earlier. The Ninth Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards (generally known as the ARIA Music Awards or simply The ARIAS) was held on 20 October 1995 at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre.
