Jane Manganye
Jane Manganye is a South African politician who has served as a member of the South African National Assembly since May 2019, and previously from May 2009 to May 2014. She was the deputy speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature from May 2014 to May 2019. Manganye is a member of the African National Congress. Political career A member of the African National Congress, Manganye was elected to the National Assembly in the 2009 general election. During her first term, she was a member of the Portfolio Committee on Water Affairs and Environmental Affairs; the Ad Hoc Committee on Coordinated Oversight on Service Delivery; and the Portfolio Committee on Tourism. Her constituency office was in Rustenburg. In 2013, she was elected chairperson of the provincial African National Congress Women's League. Matsie Angelina "Angie" Motshekga (born 19 June 1955) is a South African politician and educator, serving as the Minister of Basic Education since May 2009. She was also appointed as an acting president of the Republic of South Africa on 2 July 2021, as President Cyril Ramaphosa attended the state funeral of Kenneth Kaunda in Zambia. She was previously a Member of the Executive Council in the Gauteng provincial government. Motshekga is a member of the African National Congress. 2019 South African General Election
General elections were held in South Africa on 8 May 2019 to elect a new President, National Assembly and provincial legislatures in each province. These were the sixth elections held since the end of apartheid in 1994 and determined who would become the next President of South Africa. Incumbent President Cyril Ramaphosa led the ruling African National Congress, with the party attempting to retain its majority status and secure Ramaphosa a full term in office as president; his predecessor, Jacob Zuma, resigned from office on 14 February 2018. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma
Nkosazana Clarice Dlamini-Zuma (née Dlamini; born 27 January 1949), sometimes referred to by her initials NDZ, is a South African politician, medical doctor and former anti-apartheid activist. A longstanding member of the African National Congress (ANC), she currently serves as Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs and is the Chancellor of the University of Limpopo.
