Jane Farrow
Jane Farrow is a Canadians, Canadian author and broadcaster and community organizer. Her written works include ''Wanted Words'', ''Wanted Words 2'', and (with Ira Basen, David Wallechinsky and Amy Wallace) the ''Canadian Book of Lists''. She worked for CBC Radio from 1998 to 2007, producing segments for programs such as ''This Morning (radio program), This Morning'' and ''The Sunday Edition (CBC Radio), The Sunday Edition'', including the popular word-game segment ''Wanted Words'' (from which the books of the same name were derived). Farrow hosted and co-created other short series and shows including ''Workology'' (all about the modern workplace, cube farmers and clockwatchers) and the etymological program ''And Sometimes Y'', ''Home'' (about people's obsession with domesticity) and ''The Omnivore'' (about people's complex relationship to food and eating). Queers Against Israeli Apartheid
Queers Against Israeli Apartheid (QuAIA) was a Toronto-based grassroots LGBT group involved in the movement against what the organization see as Israeli apartheid and is a member of the Coalition Against Israeli Apartheid. The group has been involved in Israeli Apartheid Week as well as Toronto Pride Week. The 2014 Toronto municipal election was held on October 27, 2014, to elect a mayor and 44 city councillors in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In addition, school trustees were elected to the Toronto District School Board, Toronto Catholic District School Board, Conseil scolaire de district du Centre-Sud-Ouest and Conseil scolaire de district catholique Centre-Sud. The Stephen Lewis Foundation is a non-governmental organization that assists mostly AIDS- and HIV-related grassroots projects in Africa. History The foundation was started by Stephen Lewis, a veteran Canadian politician and former Canadian ambassador to the United Nations.
