Jan Pytlick
Jan Pytlick (born 5 June 1967) is a Danish handball coach, and trains Saudi Arabia national team. He was head coach for the Danish women's national handball team from 1998 to 2006, and again from 2007 to 2014. Pytlick has led the women's national team to victory in two Summer Olympics, as they became Olympic Champions in 2000, and again in 2004. Thurø
Thurø is a small Danish island in the south-east of Funen and belongs to the Svendborg municipality. Thurø is part of the South Funen Archipelago, comprising c. 55 islands altogether. The island had 3,555 inhabitants . The European Women's Handball Championship is the official competition for senior women's national handball teams of Europe, and takes place every two years. In addition to crowning the European champions, the tournament also serves as a qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games and World Championship. Klavs Bruun Jørgensen
Klavs Bruun Jørgensen (born 3 April 1974) is a Danish handball player and coach. As a player, he led FCK Håndbold to the Danish championship in May 2008. He has previously played for many years by Danish Handball League rivals GOG, with whom he won two Danish titles. For a short period he played for German league side SG Wallau-Massenheim. In his coaching career he has coached several men danish side clubs such as AG København, Nordsjælland Håndbold and Team Tvis Holstebro. On 13 January 2015 DHF announced the Klavs Bruun Jørgensen would take over as head coach of the danish women's national team as of 1 June 2015. The 2014 European Women's Handball Championship was the eleventh continental tournament for women's national teams, organized by the European Handball Federation. The second jointly hosted edition in the competition's history took place in Hungary and Croatia from 7 to 21 December 2014. Norway won their sixth title after beating Spain 28–25 in the final. Sweden defeated Montenegro 25–23 to capture the bronze medal. Norway's victory ensured their qualification for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The goals are surrounded by a zone where only the defending goalkeeper is allowed; goals must be scored by throwing the ball from outside the zone or while "diving" into it.
