Wilhelmus Johannes Hendrikus Peters (born 20 July 1953), known as Jan Peters, is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a forward. He made one appearance for the Netherlands national team in 1979. Johannes "Jan" Wilhelmus Peters (born 18 August 1954) is a Dutch former professional footballer and coach. Club career Nicknamed ''Jantje Breed'', as he was renowned for his passes to the side, Peters started his career with VV Germania and then played for NEC. He made his debut for NEC on 14 November 1971 in a home game against FC Groningen. In 1974, 19-year-old Peters attracted the interest of Ajax, where Hans Kraay Sr. had just become manager, but the transfer eventually fell through. In July 1977, he signed with AZ '67, where Kraay Sr. had now become manager. At AZ, Peters played together with players such as Ronald Spelbos, Peter Arntz, Kristen Nygaard, Kurt Welzl, Kees Kist and Pier Tol, a team which in the 1980–81 season won the Eredivisie title, the KNVB Cup, and reached the final of the UEFA Cup. Jan Peters (born August 14, 1976) is a German computer scientist. He is Professor of Intelligent Autonomous Systems at Department of Computer Science of the Technische Universität Darmstadt. Peters is renowned for his research in machine learning and robotics. Life Jan Peters graduated from the University of Hagen in 2000 with a diplom in computer science and from Technical University of Munich in 2001 with a diploma in electrical engineering. From 2000 to 2001, he spent two semesters as visiting student at the National University of Singapore. He then studied at the University of Southern California where he earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and a Master of Science degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. Jan Peters (engineer)
Jan Peters is an engineer, consultant and campaigner for diversity and inclusion in STEM. Peters was Head of the Government SET for Women Unit from 1999 until 2002 and was the UK National Expert on Women and Science to the European Commission. She published a strategic plan and has commissioned research on women returners and minority ethnic scientists and engineers. She also led a study into the challenges of finding well fitting safety clothing for women. From 2008 to 2011, Peters was the President of the Women's Engineering Society. At the Royal Society, she was the first Equality and Diversity Manager. Peters founded education and inclusion consultancy Katalytik in 2004. She has delivered various work exploring Black and Asian women in leadership, engineering education and inclusion with University College London Engineering, and diversity in construction. Jēkabs Peterss (russian: Я́ков Христофо́рович Пе́терс, ''Yakov Khristoforovich Peters'', en, Jacob Peters; – 25 April 1938) was a Latvian people, Latvian Communist revolutionary who played a part in the establishment of the Soviet Union. Together with Felix Dzerzhinsky, he was one of the founders and chiefs of the Cheka, the secret police of the Soviet Russia. He was the Deputy Chairman of the Cheka from 1918 and briefly the acting Chairman of the Cheka from 7 July to 22 August 1918. Early years He was born on 3 December 1886 in Brinken volost of Kreis Hasenpoth, Courland Governorate (now Nīkrāce parish, Skrunda Municipality), the son of Latvian farmers. He became a member of the Latvian Social Democratic Workers' Party in 1904.
