Jan Pearson
Jan Pearson (born 12 April 1959) is an English actress, known for her roles as Kath Fox in the BBC medical drama ''Holby City'' and Karen Hollins in the BBC soap opera ''Doctors'', which she joined in February 2009. In 2010, Pearson won the award for Best On-Screen Partnership with Chris Walker at the British Soap Awards. Career Before acting, Pearson worked in the Royal Exchange pub on Enville Street in Wollaston, Stourbridge. Pearson made her acting debut in an episode of '' The Chief''. She has also played Ann Davis in ''The Bill'', Kath Fox in ''Holby City'' and Heather Deans in ''Silent Witness''. Wollaston, West Midlands
Wollaston is a village on the outskirts of Stourbridge in the English West Midlands. It is located in the south of the Dudley Metropolitan Borough, one mile from Stourbridge town centre. History Until 1974 when the West Midlands Metropolitan County was created, Wollaston was in Worcestershire. Wollaston Hall Wollaston Hall was a 17th-century mansion which stood in the village until 1924. It was later disassembled and shipped to North America, although nobody has been able to determine what happened to it after that. Panelling and a fireplace from the Hall are now in the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan, which bears a striking resemblance to the original Hall. ''The Chief'' is a British television crime drama series that aired on ITV from 20 April 1990 until 16 June 1995. A total of five series and thirty-five episodes were produced. Overview The series followed the work of the fictitious "Eastland Constabulary", particularly focusing on Chief Constable John Stafford (Tim Pigott-Smith), and his efforts to restore order within his volatile team. Rob Hollins is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera ''Doctors'', portrayed by Chris Walker. Rob was introduced as a police sergeant at Letherbridge police station and made his first appearance during the episode broadcast 24 July 2009. Rob is the husband of Karen Hollins (Jan Pearson), a receptionist at the fictional Mill Health Centre, as well as the father of Imogen ( Charlie Clemmow) and Jack Hollins (Nicolas Woodman).
