Jan Mohammad
Jan Muhammad (Urdu:;1943–2002) was a Pakistani film director. He created more than 30 feature films. Early life Jan was born and brought up in Karachi. He got his early education from St Patrick's High School, Karachi, Pakistan and went to D. J. Science College for his bachelor's degree. He joined Pakistan film industry in 1967 as an assistant cameraman. Jan Mohammad received higher training in cinematography from Belgium and France and also took ''Agfa Gaevert'' Cinematographer's Course in England. Directing career Waheed Murad and Shamim Ara starrer film ''Salgira'' (1969), was his first film as an independent cinematographer followed by the film, ''Chand Suraj'' (1970) and a number of other films by reputed film makers like Rangeela. Shamim Ara (22 March 1938 – 5 August 2016) was a Pakistani film actress, director and producer. She was known as ''The Tragic Beauty'' because of the tragic heroine roles she often portrayed in films. She was one of the most popular actresses of her time and was one of the most successful actresses of the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.
