Jan Maas (born 19 February 1996) is a Dutch professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . In 2022 Maas was selected for the Dutch national team at the road race European and World Championships. Ronde Van Vlaanderen Beloften
Ronde Van Vlaanderen Beloften ( en, Tour of Flanders U23) is a Flanders Classics road bicycle race. It is the version of the Tour of Flanders for under-23 riders and is usually contested a week after the Ronde van Vlaanderen. Ludovic Capelle is the only rider who has been able to win this race twice. Since 2008 the race has been included on the Cup of Nations calendar, and it is restricted to national teams. Istrian Spring Trophy ( hr, Istarsko proljeće) is a stage road bicycle race held annually in the Croatian part of the Istria peninsula. The race was first organized in 1961 as a small competition reserved to local cyclists. In 2000, it was opened to professional riders; since 2005, it is rated as a 2.2 event on the UCI Europe Tour. 2023 Vuelta A España
The 2023 Vuelta a España is a three-week cycling race taking place in the Spain. It will be the 78th edition of the Vuelta a España. It will start in Barcelona. The race will also go through parts of Andorra and France. Teams 22 teams are scheduled to take part in the race. All 18 UCI WorldTeams have been automatically invited. They will be joined by 4 UCI ProTeams - the two highest placed UCI ProTeams in 2022 (Lotto–Dstny and Team TotalEnergies), along with Burgos BH and Caja Rural–Seguros RGA who were selected by the organisers. Since 1919, the leader of the general classification wears the yellow jersey (french: maillot jaune ). History The winner of the first Tour de France wore a green armband, not a yellow jersey. General Classification In The Giro D'Italia
The general classification in the Giro d'Italia is the most important classification of the Giro d'Italia, which determines who is the overall winner. It is therefore considered more important than secondary classifications as the points classification or the mountains classification. Since 1931, the leader of the general classification is identified by a pink jersey ( it, maglia rosa ). Prior to that year and since the creation of the race, no colour was used to distinguish the winner at the top of the classification. The first rider to wear the maglia rosa was Learco Guerra following the first stage of the 1931 Giro d'Italia. The first jersey was entirely pink and made from wool.
