Jan Peder Johansson, born 1958 in Ursviken, Skellefteå kommun, Västerbottens län. Swedish-born acoustic musician, composer, producer and pedagogue. Residing in Cary, North Carolina, and active in the United States since 1986. His original music draws from several genres including traditional and contemporary Swedish, bluegrass music, Bluegrass, Classical music, Classical and Blues. He is the founder of Johansson's Acoustic Music Studio (JAMS) which provides music instruction in Bluegrass and other acoustic music. His formal education is the field of the Humanities and he received a Cand. Phil. degree in General Linguistics and Scandinavian languages from Umeå University, in Umeå, Sweden. He has done doctoral candidate studies at Stockholm University, Stockholm's University and University of California at Los Angeles. Jan Johansson (16 September 1931 – 9 November 1968) was a Swedish jazz pianist. His album '' Jazz på svenska'' (''Jazz in Swedish'') is the best selling jazz release ever in Sweden; it has sold over a quarter of a million copies and has been streamed more than 50 million times on Spotify. He was the father of former HammerFall drummer Anders Johansson and Stratovarius keyboardist Jens Johansson, who run Heptagon Records which keeps their father's recordings available. Biography Johansson was a native of Söderhamn, in the Hälsingland province of Sweden. Studying classical piano as a child, he would also go on to master the guitar, organ and accordion, before turning on to swing and bebop as a teenager. Jan Emanuel Johansson
Jan Emanuel (born Jan Emanuel Johanssson on 2 May 1974) is a Swedish healthcare entrepreneur, Social Democratic politician and Member of Parliament (MP) from 2002 to 2006, who also held seats in the Riksdagen as a replacement at different times (2006, 2008 and 2009). He was again MP between March 2009 and October 2010, this time as a replacement for Pär Nuder. He has sat on the Social Committee, Parliamentary Committees as well as the foreign ministry. He is reputed to be the Social Democratic MP who put forward the highest number motions during his time at the Riksdagen. He was MP representing the Norrtälje municipality council between 1998 and 2010.
