Jan Frans Van Dael
Jan Frans van Dael or Jean-François van Dael (27 May 1764 – 20 March 1840) was a Flemish painter and lithographer specializing in still lifes of flowers and fruit. He had a successful career in Paris where his patrons included the Empresses of Empire France as well as the kings of Restoration France. His work stands in the Flemish and Dutch tradition of flower painting with a sober composition and attention to detail to which he added a French-inspired decorative monumentality.Dominique Vautier. Adèle Riché
Adèle Riché (1791–1878) was a French painter. Riché was born, and lived her life in France. A pupil of Jan Frans van Dael and Gerard van Spaendonck.,Adèle Riché in the RKD she is known for her still life paintings, including watercolors, as well as her portraits. Her techniques included botanical, entomological, and natural painting, oil, watercolor, and on vellum, and engraving, as well as hand-colouring. Riché died in Fontainebleau, France in 1878. Work Riché worked primarily in watercolor and her subject of choice was often women, flowers, or fruit. Her portraits were often done in oil; the stylistic preference of the times. Whereas her fruit and still life pieces were done in watercolor. She painted a portrait of Natalia Obrenovich, Queen of Serbia. Christiaan van Pol (14 March 1752 – 21 May 1813) was a flower painter from the Northern Netherlands. Pol was born in Berkenrode, a small town of about ten Catholic families that is now part of Heemstede. He probably learned to draw in the tavern there known as the ''Dorstige Kuil'', where the artists Simon Fokke, John Greenwood, Jan Punt and others from the ''Amsterdamse Tekenacademie'' would meet during the summer months. Henriëtte Geertruida Knip
Henriëtte Geertruida Knip (19 July 1783 – 29 May 1842) was a flower painter from the Northern Netherlands. Knip was born in Tilburg as the daughter of the painter Nicolaas Frederik Knip. After her father went blind, she followed lessons from her older brother, Joseph August Knip. In 1802, she followed him to Paris and took lessons from the flower painter Gerard van Spaendonck. She became a successful painter and spent summers in Haarlem painting the flowers of the various flower companies, and she spent winters in Amsterdam teaching ladies how to paint. In 1824 she went back again to Paris to take lessons from the artist Jan Frans van Dael. When her brother began to go blind, she was able to support his family as well as herself. She never married and died in Haarlem. Her work is sometimes confused with that of her niece Henriëtte Ronner-Knip, whose works generally contain animals. Iphigénie Decaux or Vicomtesse Iphigenie Decaux, née Milet-Moreau (17 June 1778 – 8 July 1862) was a French flower painter. Decaux was born in Toulon as the daughter of Louis Marie de Milet de Mureau. She took lessons from the flower painter Jan Frans van Dael and became an accomplished painter in her own right, though because of her wealthy connections she painted more as a hobby than for a living. In 1800 she married Louis Victor de Blacquetot de Caux and thereafter went by the name ''Vicomtesse Iphigenie Decaux''. Decaux died in Paris.
