Jan Dijkema
Jan Dijkema (born 23 September 1944) is a Dutch politician, sociologist and President of the International Skating Union. Career Dijkema studied sociology at the University of Groningen and was at the age of 32 in 1978 the youngest Member of the Dutch government. In the province of Overijssel he was then a Member of the provincial government for Economic Affairs as representative on behalf of the PvdA, where he was confronted with the restructuring of Twente after the textile crisis: "We were able to do a lot with European funds." In addition, Dijkema was closely involved in financing the IJsbaan Twente as a member of the recommendation committee. In 1994 he exchanged politics for skating as a vice-president at the Royal Dutch Skating Association (KNSB). In that capacity, he became a representative at the International Skating Union (ISU). Schipborg
Schipborg is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Aa en Hunze, and lies about 11 km northeast of Assen. The village was first mentioned between 1298 and 1304 as Borc, and is a combination of a tree (probably a birch A birch is a thin-leaved deciduous hardwood tree of the genus ''Betula'' (), in the family Betulaceae, which also includes alders, hazels, and hornbeams. Aa en Hunze () is a municipality in the northeastern Netherlands. The names 'Aa' (more precisely the 'Drentsche Aa') and 'Hunze' refer to two small rivers through the municipality. Ottavio Cinquanta
Ottavio Cinquanta (15 August 1938 – 18 July 2022) was the President of the International Skating Union and a member of the International Olympic Committee. He held the ISU position from 1994 to 2016 and the IOC position since 1996. In 2000 he was elected member of the IOC Executive Committee, a position that he held until 2008. Prior to becoming ISU President he was ISU Vice President and before that the Chair of its Technical Committee for Short Track Speed Skating.
