Jamtara
Jamtara is a city and a notified area in the Jamtara Sadar subdivision of the Jamtara district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. It is the headquarters of the epynomous district, subdivision and community development block. It is also nicknamed the phishing capital of India. It got this title because there were numerous incidents of phishing across the country whose centre point was there. In the span of two years between April 2015 and March 2017, police from 12 Indian states reportedly made 23 journeys to Jamtara. They did so to investigate cybercrimes — primarily phishing that were emanating from one of the most underdeveloped districts, was responsible for 8 percent of them by some estimates. Jamtara Sadar Subdivision
Jamtara Sadar subdivision is the only Administrative divisions of India, administrative subdivision of the Jamtara district in the Santhal Pargana division in the state of Jharkhand, India. Overview Jamtara Sadar subdivision in the south-eastern part of Santhal Pargana division, Santhal Parganas is a rolling upland tract. The Barakar River, Barakar separates it from the Chota Nagpur plateau and the Ajay River, Ajay, flows in from Deoghar district in the west, drains the district, forms the border between Jharkhand and West Bengal for some distance and flows into West Bengal in the east. History Jamtara subdivision was formed in 1879 as a part of Santhal Parganas district with its headquarters at Dumka. Jamtara District
