East Singhbhum District
East Singhbhum is one of the 24 districts of Jharkhand, India. It was created on 16 January 1990. More than 50% of the district is covered by dense forests and mountains, where wild animals once roamed freely. It is known for being a centre of industry since Jamshedpur, the most populous city in Jharkhand, is located here. Suman Mahato
Suman Mahato (born 4 December 1964) was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. A member of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) political party, she represented the constituency of Jamshedpur in the eastern state of Jharkhand. Sunil Mahato
Sunil Kumar ( 11 January 1966 – 4 March 2007) was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India, representing the constituency of Jamshedpur in the eastern state of Jharkhand. He was General Secretary of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) political party. He was assassinated by Naxalite rebels who subscribe to Communist ideology. Early life Mahato was from a Kudmi family. In 2003 he was part of a delegation that met with the Governor of Jharkhand asking for recognition as a scheduled tribe. Political career Mahato was General Secretary of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha party. He was elected to Lok Sabha in the 2004 general election; Abha Mahato of the BJP came in second. Abha Mahato
Abha Mahato (born 27 October 1964) is an Indian parliamentarian from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Personal life Mahato was born in Deoghar (then in Bihar state) in 1964. She studied at Deoghar College (Bhagalpur University) from where she graduated with B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science. She married Shri Shailendra Mahato, a former member of Lok Sabha on 27 June 1989 and 1991 of Jamshedpur. They have two sons. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha ( lit. ''Jharkhand Liberation Front''; JMM) is a State political party in the Indian state of Jharkhand which was founded by Binod Bihari Mahato. Shailendra Mahto is an Indian politician. He was the member of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. He represented twice as a Member of Parliament from Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency. Early life Shailendra Mahto was born on 11th October 1953 at a village Setahaka near Chakradharpur in erstwhile Bihar now in Jharkhand. Jamshedpur Gopeshwar (21 December 1921 – 23 May 2008), usually known simply as Gopeshwar, was an Indian trade unionist and politician. Gopeshwar was born in Rampur, in the Saharsa district, and studied at Patna University. He supported Indian independence, and participated in the student movement from 1940, then became a supporter of Gandhi. The Janata Party ( JP, lit. ''People's Party'') was a political party that was founded as an amalgam of Indian political parties opposed to the Emergency that was imposed between 1975 and 1977 by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi of the Indian National Congress. Bharatiya Lok Dal (English: Indian Peoples' Party) was a political party in India. The BLD or simply BL was formed at the end of 1974 through the fusion of seven parties opposed to the rule of Indira Gandhi, including the Swatantra Party, the Utkal Congress, the Bharatiya Kranti Dal, and the Socialist Party. The leader of the BLD was Charan Singh. In 1977, the BLD combined with the Jan Sangh and the Indian National Congress (Organization) to form the Janata Party.
