Jamie Nicholls (snowboarder)
Jamie Nicholls (born 21 July 1993) is a British snowboarder who competes in slopestyle. Nicholls was born in Bradford. He qualified for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. On 6 February 2014 in the qualification event Nicholls finished the fourth in his heat and qualified directly for the final. He finished 6th in the men's slopestyle final at the 2014 Winter Olympics. He became the first British male snowboarder to win a World Cup event when he finished top of the standings in the final slopestyle event of the 2015-16 season, the Audi Snowjam in Spindleruv Mlyn in the Czech Republic, helping him to fifth in the slopestyle World Cup rankings for the season. He has won three medals at FIS World Cup. Katie Ormerod
Katie Ormerod (born 25 August 1997) is a British snowboarder who was selected to participate in the 2018 Winter Olympics and 2022 Winter Olympics. She is from Brighouse, West Yorkshire. Career Ormerod narrowly missed qualifying for the 2014 Winter Olympics when she was 16. In November 2016, she was placed third at the Big Air World Cup in Pyeongchang, a test event for the venue of the 2018 Winter Olympics. In January 2017, she won the Big Air World Cup event in Moscow and a bronze medal in the Women's Slopestyle at the Winter X Games XXI in Aspen. In May 2014, then aged 16, Ormerod became the first female snowboarder to land a ''double cork 1080'', one of the most complex manoeuvres in snowboarding, which involves three rotations and two inverted flips. Blue
Blue is one of the three primary colours in the RYB colour model (traditional colour theory), as well as in the RGB (additive) colour model. It lies between violet and cyan on the spectrum of visible light. The eye perceives blue when observing light with a dominant wavelength between approximately 450 and 495 nanometres. Mayrhofen
Mayrhofen is a town in the Zillertal (Ziller river valley) in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It is located approximately an hour from the Tyrolean capital city of Innsbruck. Population Tourism The town offers a variety of summer and winter sports including skiing, hiking, mountain biking and paragliding. Mayrhofen is situated near the Hintertux glacier, which, at above sea level, is above the snowline. Skiing is available all year round here. Mayrhofen sits between the Penken and the Ahorn mountains which provide ski runs in the winter and mountain biking, hiking and paragliding in the summer. ''Whitelines'' is an English language magazine covering snowboarding culture published by Factory Media. History Founded in 1995, ''Whitelines'' began publishing under Jim Peskett, owner of Permanent Publishing, with former British professional snowboarder Tudor ‘Chod’ Thomas as editor. Its sister skateboarding magazine, ''Sidewalk Surfer'' (now ''Sidewalk'') shared the same office in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. They were later joined by ''The Surfer's Path'' and ''Dig BMX''.
